Discovering the treasures of the Hautes-Pyrénées

Just 150 metres from our hotels, immerse yourself in one of the world's greatest Catholic pilgrimage sites: the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes. This iconic site is as impressive for its spirituality as it is for its architecture.

Then take to the heights with the legendary Pic du Midi de Bigorre, perched at an altitude of 2,877 metres. Accessible by cable car from La Mongie or on foot for the more athletic, this summit offers a breathtaking 360° view of the Pyrenees mountain range. Up there, 600 m² of panoramic terraces, an astronomical observatory and a glass walkway suspended above the void promise unforgettable sensations. Not to mention its starry sky reserve, the only one in the south-west.

Next, head to the Cirque de Gavarnie, a natural gem listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This glacial cirque impresses with its grandiose dimensions: 1,500 metres high, 6.5 kilometres wide, peaks over 3,000 metres high, and above all the highest waterfall in France, with a drop of 422 metres. A breathtaking spectacle in the heart of unspoilt nature.

Finally, let yourself be charmed by the village of Cauterets and the Pont d'Espagne, nestled in the heart of the Pyrenees National Park. Between forests, torrents and waterfalls, this authentic site exudes tranquillity and history. The stone bridge, built in 1886, recalls the days when trade between France and Spain was carried out by donkey. A wild place, rich in emotions and landscapes.
