World-renowned for its Marian Shrine, Lourdes welcomes millions of pilgrims and visitors every year. Whether you come here initially out of faith or curiosity, it is often the spirit that will bring you back. Listed as one of the Great Sites of Occitanie, Lourdes is a unique and eclectic place where, whatever your reason for visiting, you will never leave indifferent. A historic, cultural and spiritual city, Lourdes is the best starting point for exploring the Pyrenees.

A real base camp, Lourdes is a gateway to the Pyrenees. We have adapted our services with three partners:

- A cycling offer with a dedicated bike area; partner of the PLVG ‘Altamonta’

- A motorbike package with garage; in partnership with ‘Relais Motards’

- A pilgrim package for the Camino de Santiago; partner of the ACIR ‘Accueil des chemins de Compostelle’

The Lourdes region offers a wealth of activities to suit all tastes, from nature and sport to culture. Outdoor enthusiasts can explore the hiking trails of Pic du Jer, accessible by funicular railway, or venture out on mountain bikes along its specially designed trails. A few kilometres away, Lake Lourdes offers a peaceful setting for walking, paddleboarding or pedalo boating. The more curious will enjoy a visit to the fortified castle of Lourdes, a historic site perched high above the town with breathtaking views. And for an invigorating getaway, the picturesque villages of the Hautes-Pyrénées and local markets are well worth a visit.

Just a few minutes from Lourdes, many unforgettable experiences await visitors. The Donjon des Aigles, located in Beaucens, offers an impressive show of birds of prey in free flight in a unique medieval setting. For animal lovers, the Parc Animalier des Pyrénées in Argelès-Gazost offers a special encounter with marmots and more than 120 species in semi-freedom, in the heart of an exceptional natural environment.

Geology and natural curiosity enthusiasts will not want to miss the Grottes de Bétharram, a fascinating underground network that can be explored on foot, by train and by boat. Finally, for a total immersion in the magnificent landscapes of the Pyrenees, an excursion to Gavarnie is a must: this glacial cirque, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, impresses with its vertiginous walls and its large waterfall, one of the highest in Europe.
